"Government Remains Committed to Upholding Rights of Marginalized Communities," Affirms PM

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' restated the government's resolute dedication to safeguarding the rights and identities of minority and marginalized communities.

In a meeting with a delegation led by Tej Bahadur Kumal, Chairperson of the Nepal Kumal Improvement Committee, PM Dahal expressed his firm support for promoting the unique identities and protecting the rights of all minority groups, including the Kumal community.

Highlighting the Kumal community's noteworthy role in Nepal's social and political transformation, despite its smaller population size, the Prime Minister acknowledged their rich history, culture, and significance. He also reflected on his own endeavors to integrate all minority and marginalized communities into the mainstream of the state.

PM Dahal emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to addressing the development, prosperity, welfare, and specific concerns of these marginalized communities.

The meeting witnessed the presence of prominent individuals such as Gyanendra Kumal, a Constituent Assembly member, Kanchan Kumal, Chairperson of Kumal Mukti Morcha, and Shruti Kumal, Vice-chairperson of the National Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, among others.
